JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for obtaining pre-certifications and pre-authorizations for procedures and medications, scheduling appointments for outpatient testing with other providers, transcribes and triages patient calls to physicians, coordinates patient appointments/orders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education: High school or GED required, MA or LPN certification/license preferred
2. Experience: Minimum five years of professional experience in a medical practice setting. FQHC experience given preference.
3. Qualifications: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Requires effective customer relation skills, ability to organize and interpret data. Requires good judgment, tact, diplomacy, and ability to problem solve. Able to work effectively in a team environment. Able to use a personal computer and related software.
