Job Summary

We have an immediate openings for positions on the Vaccination Crew. These positions will be responsible for vaccinations, bird moves, male selection, grading and cleaning and disinfecting all equipment involved ensuring bio-security. All duties should be performed with safety, bio-security and animal welfare being top priorities

Job Qualifications

• Ability to handle physical workload
• Ability to work well in teams
• Routinely work up to 5 days a week, Monday-Friday, occasional weekends and Holidays
• Routine handling and interacting with live poultry
• Ongoing presence of farm related smells or foul odors
• Prolonged exposure to dry and dusty environments, PPE provided
• Grip, grasp or twist using hands and wrists
• Lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50lbs
• Bend and stoop repetitively throughout out shift
• Standing for extended periods of time
• Strong sense of personal responsibility
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
• Takes accountability for individual performance
• Poultry experience preferred but not required
• Current health card and valid driver’s license

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Administer Vaccines (Injection, Spray, Drinking Water):
• Bird Handling (Bending and Stooping)
• Bird Move (Loading and Unloading)
• Bird Weighing (Grading)
• Washing and Disinfecting all equipment
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Adhere to all Biosecurity, Animal Welfare and Safety Program policies.
• Ensuring the biosecurity and cleanliness of farm, equipment, area buildings, vehicles, etc. is a major duty.
• Due to Biosecurity this is a Shower In/Out facility
• Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
