POSITION OVERVIEW:

Polar Park serves as home to the Worcester Red Sox, Triple-A Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, while also serving as a year-round multi-purpose venue for a range of private and public events, including weddings, fundraisers, festivals, concerts, and more. Polar Park is looking for part-time seasonal Facilities/Operations Crew members will serve a crucial role in the management of the facility. This group of individuals will serve as the team that ensures Polar Park is appropriately prepped for all events, including Worcester Red Sox home games.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support the Polar Park Facilities/Operations departments in event set up and break down of equipment. Event equipment primarily consists of 6’ round tables, linens, conference chairs, stanchions, bike racks, stage risers, podiums, etc.

• Support the facility operations department in ballpark-wide operational tasks in preparation for Worcester Red Sox home games. Tasks include resetting furniture, placing stanchions, etc.

• Power wash the ballpark following each Worcester Red Sox home game. Clean Seating Bowl areas.

• Removal of trash and recycled products.

• Must be available nights, weekends, and week days.

• All other duties as assigned relating to Facilities Operations in Polar Park.

CHARACTERISITICS / QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 18+ years old.

• Must take direction promptly and pay attention to detail while executing tasks as assigned.

• Must have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced working environment.

• Must be a constructive collaborator within a team of peers.

• Must have the ability to solve problems independently.

• Must be able to frequently move event furniture up to 50 pounds around the ballpark site.

• Must be able to work flexible hours throughout the year, including late nights, weekends, and holidays.
