SP Industries is expanding our team and have immediate openings for Plastic Fabricators. The overall purpose of this job is to convert plastic sheet material into complex, quality plastic products through cutting, shaping, plastic welding, and various fabrication techniques.

• Fabricate Plastic products from assorted flat sheet materials with minimal supervision
• Capable of laying out materials required for cutting, drilling, welding, tools and equipment for any operations.
• Read and understand drawings, bill of materials, job order requirements.
• Use various types of Saws (table, panel, and band); Drill Press and Router.
• Provide assistance and guidance to other lower level classification welders.
• Knowledge and experience to perform complete quality inspection of products fabricated.
• Consistent and predictable attendance.
• Understands and complies with all company rules and regulations.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) are preferred.
• Good math skills.
• Must be able to read and understand advanced blueprints and sketches.
• Must be able to set up tools (drills, router bit, chamfer); pull up various programs and run CNC Router.
• Must be a team player.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are typical of those an employee might encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.

• The shop contains mobile equipment, machinery, and high voltages.
• The shop noise level is variable and may require hearing protection in some areas.
• The shop is heated when required but many areas are not air conditioned.
