A day in the role can look like

The Plant Manager would be working with cross functional partners to manage all production and warehousing operations of a 200+ employee production facility. The person in this role will be using their prior experience to own all plant operations and promote continuous improvement.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Provide direction, leadership, and management to the production management team in support of the Company’s mission.

· Hire, educate, and oversee the training of direct management reports.

· Manage the daily and weekly flow of the production process and work with staff and their subordinates to create truly exceptional products in a cost-efficient manner.

· Analyze and recommend long term plans through Continuous Improvement for increased throughput, higher quality, and lower costs; assess and recommend equipment improvement and replacement in collaboration with the Engineering and Maintenance team.

· Own the annual budgetary process for the facility and execute within its confines.

· Create and develop documentation of all plant operating procedures and policies.

· Ensure high performance in efficiency, accuracy, and quality in all plant departments.

· Support the Company in compliance with local, state and federal regulations dealing with environment, safety and health regulations, particularly those dealing the EPA and OSHA.

· Work directly with the Quality Team to ensure food safety and quality targets are met at all times.

Experience

  • Experience in a USDA facility required
  • SQF/HACCP Certification a plus
  • Must be Proficient in MS Office Suite at an intermediate to advanced level

· Experience demonstrating process/continuous improvement (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and TQM) on a departmental or organizational level is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
