POSITION SUMMARY:
The Plant Controller is responsible for the accounting operations of the Company. This includes the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk. The Plant Controller is also responsible for enhancing the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensuring that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. Embraces and executes the Company’s values and actively supports the Company’s goals.

Essential Functions:
- Management
- Responsible for supervising the finance and accounting team which consists of general accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable o Monitors and evaluates the performance of accounting and other financial staff; recommend and implement personnel actions such as promotions and dismissals.
- Accounting
- Maintains current knowledge of company policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards.
- Maintains and enforces the Company accounting policies and procedures, and related internal controls
- Ensures all transactions are timely and accurately reported in accordance with US GAAP.
- Completes month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, reconcile accounts, and handles G/L analysis.
- Directs accounting for all significant areas requiring accounting judgments and estimates.
- Coordinates and monitors capital investment projects in accordance with the Company’s accounting policies.
- Determines depreciation rates to apply to capitalized items, and advises management on actions regarding the purchase, lease, or disposal of such items.
- Provides direction and assistance to other business unit functions regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures, and efficient control and utilization of financial resources.
- Financial Reporting
- Prepares and distributes monthly internal financial packages and key financial performance indicators
- Assists in preparing financial statements and presentations to Owners, Board of Directors, Lenders and Senior Management
- Planning & Forecasting
- Maintains forecast models for the business unit
- Prepares quarterly forecasts for the business unit
- Conducts the annual planning process for the business unit
- Financial/Operations Analysis
- Conducts financial analysis to support explanations and insights into monthly operating results
- Runs Ad hoc analysis to support forecasting process
- Sales and operational analysis to drive/support cost savings, business improvement and investment initiatives
- Analyzes cash flow, cost control and expenses, as well as collaborating with the various business and functional leaders to suggest and implement improvements.
Treasury Management
- Prepares cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handles daily cash management
- Prepares daily, weekly and monthly cash reports.
- Audit & Tax
- Prepares financial information so that outside accountants can complete tax returns and quarterly tax distributions.
- Prepares information in support of the annual financial audit for the Company.
- Insurance
- Coordinates data gathering for annual liability insurance coverage Marquis –
- Maintains and enforces the Company accounting policies and procedures, and related internal controls
- Ensures all transactions are timely and accurately reported in accordance with US GAAP.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws. Manages and motivates team members to perform above expectations; and holds people accountable for their performance. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience: Prior controllership experience required. 10+ years of relevant experience, manufacturing environment preferred.
Computer Skills: Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, ERP Software
Certificates & Licenses: CPA desired Other Requirements: N/A
WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is performed primarily in office during standard business hours. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate on the Production floor
