The Pipeliner - Midkiff/Benedum will work independently and with other personnel to maintain, operate equipment and processes in the Midstream business unit. Some of the processes involve hazardous and volatile materials under high temperature and pressure. Typical working conditions include: outside weather and elements, blowing air, heat, noise, vibration and occasionally working from heights and confined spaces. Operators must follow safe work practices in accordance with Phillips 66 Pipeline Company safety standards, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities may include:
Promoting a safe work environment and safety culture to deliver excellent HSE performance.

Ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient performance of maintenance and operation activities.

Assisting with the development, updating and implementation of Site-Specific Procedures

Availability to respond to operational upsets

Performing as the Incident Commander during emergencies.

Responsibility for safety of self, peer employees and contractors

Identifying and implementing process improvements

Knowledge of emergency response processes and procedures

Knowledge of DOT and state regulated pipeline systems and Right of Way requirements.

Knowledge of SAP functionality

Demonstrating safety leadership.

Performing routine pipeline maintenance.

Ensuring accurate and timely completion of paperwork.

Responding promptly and effectively to customer needs.

Responding to emergencies and assisting in maintaining emergency equipment.

Completing mandated safety and regulatory training (Computer Based Training).

Maintaining effective and professional relationships with pipeline customers and vendors.

Performing environmental, company and regulatory checks as necessary.

Eliminating, containing, and reporting any and all product releases

Monitoring and enforcing safety rules at facilities.

Identifying and promptly communicating operational and equipment problems to supervisor and/or completing trouble reports.

Assisting with construction and maintenance projects.

Operating valves.

Performing housekeeping duties.

Willing to work outside immediate area.

Required Qualifications

Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Must be 18 years or older

Must maintain a valid driver’s license

Willingness and ability to perform and comply with following, with or without reasonable accommodations:

To climb up to 20 feet using both inclined and vertical ladders

To lift up to 50 pounds

To push and pull forces up to 100 pounds

To operate a forklift

To respond to emergency calls as needed

To remain on call as needed

To work overtime on an as-needed basis

To work in enclosed spaces, such as tanks and silos

To work with chemicals and bases

To wear personal protective equipment (such as fire-retardant clothing, steel-toe shoes, ear and eye protection)

To work outside in harsh weather conditions

To work with hydrocarbons that are under high pressure and heat

Preferred Qualifications

3 or more years of direct operational experience in the oil and gas industry

Relevant Military experience

Safety and environmental alertness, and promotes a safe work environment by complying with all procedures, rules and regulations

Working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office

Working knowledge and proficiency in SAP

Working knowledge of refined products, NGL and/or crude oil quality specifications

Working knowledge of mechanical and rotating equipment

Working knowledge of process controls and oil movements

Working knowledge of P&ID drawings

Midstream

Phillips 66's Midstream business is a safe, reliable and trusted logistics provider for the movement and storage of liquid or gas energy via pipelines or terminals. We are an industry leader in logistics and operate or manage more than 22,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil from oil fields to refineries and finished products from refineries to storage terminals. We operate 39 terminals that supply finished products to consumer gas stations, as well as crude oil and NGL storage terminals and NGL fractionation facilities. We also provide the connectivity between the various Phillips 66 business units.
