Innovations is a family-owned outpatient physical therapy clinic in Houston, Texas. We take great pride in writing success stories one patient at a time. At Innovations in Aquatic Therapy our people are our greatest asset, and we are looking for a full-time, Physical Therapist to join our Team. We are in our 16th year operating in our own freestanding building in the Houston Medical Center.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Innovations, you will be responsible for the treatment, management, and satisfaction of a diversified outpatient caseload. Programs include Aquatic, post-surgical, neuro/balance, general orthopedic, and much much more. We are the ideal setting for learning and we will never be a factory here!

Job Summary:

The Physical Therapist Assistant position will have responsibility for daily patient physical therapy treatment involving frequent phone and in-person interaction with both patients and physicians. Will provide patient care as prescribed by the referring physician, including evaluation and assessment, design of treatment programs, implementation and supervision of treatment programs, and educational services. Will also maintain and update patient case files.

Qualifications

  • MUST LOVE WATER
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant curriculum
  • State Physical Therapy licensure required or the ability to get one soon!
  • New Grad is fine! ( We will mentor you )
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with staff, patients, and physicians
  • Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to accurately document information for billing purposes
  • Computer experience in windows, spreadsheets, and word processing preferred Responsibilities • Daily patient physical therapy treatment
  • Review of treatment protocols with prescribing physician
  • Participate in treatment plan review and ongoing patient care reassessments
  • Accurate documentation to ensure timely and correct billing
  • Ensure compliance with Medicare
  • Leadership ability to direct and assist other clinical staff as necessary
  • Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with patients and physicians
  • Provides necessary educational services and participates in facility in-service activities
  • Works to ensure a safe and clean facility including physical plant and equipment maintenance
  • Assumes any other responsibilities that may be assigned by the Director of Physical Therapy
