Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities and Daily Activities:
- Supports pharmacological services by stocking, assembling, and distributing medications.
- Helps health care providers and patients by greeting them in person and by phone, answering questions and requests, and referring inquiries to the pharmacist.
- Maintains pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, and removing outdated drugs.
- Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Organizes medications for pharmacist to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing labels, calculating quantities, and other pharmaceutical therapies.
- Maintains records by recording and filing physicians’ orders and prescriptions.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Work Hours, Pay & Benefits
We are open from Monday – Friday, 9:00 – 6:00 PM; Saturday, 9:00 – 1:00 PM.
This is a full-time and/or part-time position, with an hourly rate starting from $16-$20 based on your experience and qualifications. Your specific schedule will be determined with flexibility for both of us in mind. Benefits include a team of five Pharmacy Technicians, flexibility, non-stressful management, paid lunch, and performance-based bonuses. Health insurance benefits to be determined.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

- At least 1 year experience in a pharmacy or medical setting
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- State of Florida Pharmacy Licensure
