Position Description: As a Bather at Sweet Home Pets, you are responsible for assisting groomers with both scheduled and walk-in services and bathing of all sized dogs. Youre pawsitively passionate about people and their pets. Providing exceptional, neighborly service at every opportunity during your work day, you will

Point of contact for walk-in services.
Greet customers warmly and discuss bathing needs and wants with each customer
individually.
Answer all grooming calls appropriately, professionally and in a timely fashion.
Assist with and perform scheduling and rescheduling of grooming appointments with proper use of interpersonal communication. Obtain, accurately document, and properly store customer information such as name,
address, email, vet information and animals grooming history.
Ensure vaccinations are current and documented correctly prior to grooming animals. Partner with groomers in salon to assure dogs are cared for in a timely manner.
Bathe, dry, clean the ears and trim the nails of all appointed animals.
Handle and resolve any customer complaints professionally with courtesy and patience.
Advice given to customers will remain professional and within the scope of grooming (i.e.,
skin, coat, nails, etc.).
Keep grooming salon safe, stocked and clean in accordance with company and PACFA
regulations.

Effective communication and comprehension skills.
Able to input data into computer systems.
Ability to work independently or in a team as well as understand when help is needed and/or
management should be involved.
Effective and safe animal handling skills with all species, sizes and breeds encountered in our
stores.
Strong customer service skills.
Good judgment and self-control
Ability to plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to operate safely at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or educational equivalent.
Bathing experience preferred, not required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to reach, stand, kneel, squat, bend, rotate and carry up to 50 lbs. repeatedly
throughout each shift.
Must be able to adequately speak and hear during phone, and in-person conversations.
Must be able to assist all animals into the wash tubs safely.
Must be able to perform assigned duties within the time parameters set by shift
management.
Must be able ascend and descend a ladder while carrying up to 30 lbs.
Must be able to occasionally lift and manipulate more than 50 lbs.
