PEDIATRIC NURSE.

For a 4 years old male child.

Schedule preference: Mornings( 8a-5p) and nights/overnights. Mom would prefer a nurse to be comfortable with accompanying the child at school for about 2-hours per day. She would also prefer the nurse to be well rehearsed in caring for a child with medical complexities.

Dx: extreme Prematurity around 25 weeks (500-749 grams), Respiratory distress, AKI (acute kidney injury), Anemia of prematurity, BPD (Bronchopulmonary dysplasia), ROP (Retinopathy of prematurity), Anatomic airway obstruction, Subglottic stenosis, Tracheostomy in place.

Nursing care needs: tracheostomy care, administration of g-tube feeds with aspiration precautions, administration of medications, all personal hygiene care.

Possess a valid LPN or RN license in the state of Illinois - Minimum of 1 year of direct patient care working as an RN / LPN - Valid CPR card

Registered Nurse RN / LPN responsibilities include:

Patient assessments
Administration of prescribed medication
Emergency management
Registered Nurse RN / LPN qualifications include:

Current Illinois Registered RN /LPN licensure
One year of licensed work experience preferred
Experience with tracheostomy, ventilator, and g-tube care

Requirements:

Current Illinois RN/LPN license
Minimum of one (1) year of pediatric nursing experience
G-tube, Hi-Tech, Trach, or Vent experience (1) year
Private Duty experience preferred
Current CPR certification
Recent TB test (within last year)
Illinois Mandated Reporter Certificate
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required
Skillful, accurate, and timely clinical documentation and supply management
Physically fit to perform the job duties required for this position
Must clear DCFS and state background checks.

LPN PAY RATES: $30 -$32 PER HOUR.

RN PAY RATES: $32-$36 PER HOUR.
