Payroll Specialist Job at Skillforce, Inc.
Skillforce is looking for a PAYROLL SPECIALIST to join our dynamic team. Applicants need to be motivated, hard-working, detail-oriented, and thrive in a high paced, ever-changing work environment.
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for the field employee payroll. They will also work with the Controller in managing garnishments, unemployment, and benefits administration.
Job Duties:
- Review and validate weekly timesheets and verify source documents.
- Maintain payroll operations and processes.
- Process employee changes including hires, terminations, transfers, tax updates, etc.
- Assist employee's with questions about their payroll and accessing online payroll website.
- Assist with unemployment requests.
- Processing garnishments and income support orders.
- Develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive payroll records.
- Preparing certified payroll reports, as needed.
- Work closely with team members to ensure that all tasks are completed.
What we are looking for:
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years payroll experience.
- Experience with garnishments and certified payrolls, preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ADP Workforce Now.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Good time management and organization skills.
- Working knowledge of relevant legal regulations.
- Able to prioritize and multitask effectively.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
