MAJOR FUNCTION:
This role is a key position in our finance and accounting department, responsible for managing the accuracy of the overall payroll processing for multiple locations in multiple states in accordance with CFC policies and procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage Payroll Administrators
- Oversee bi-weekly salary and weekly hourly payrolls for multiple states
- Calculate final payments to terminated employees
- Calculate pay adjustments & deduction corrections
- Rectify payroll issues
- Maintain employee records within ADP
- Process new hires, promotions, & terminations timely & accurately
- Process garnishments, support orders & levies
- Post payroll journal entries to general ledger
- Payroll account reconciliations
- Report hours weekly into financial software
- Work directly with HR at all locations
- Act as liaison with state and federal governments regarding taxes and Court System regarding garnishments
- Other duties as assigned
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures – general ledger & Journal entries
- Multi state payroll processing
- Strong Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Excel skills
- Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Skills
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP:
Position reports to the Director, Financial Planning and Analysis.
Experience/Education Requirements
- Payroll Experience (3-5 years)
- Management Experience
- Experience with ADP
