Payroll Coordinator Job at Student Transportation of America, Inc.

The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for processing payroll for various areas. This position coordinates payroll functions on a daily basis to ensure that employees are paid on a timely basis. This position reports into the Operations Manager.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Process biweekly payroll
- Process PANs for all LOA’s and other payroll changes and personnel matters
- Monitor and track all employees on LOA status and their benefits
- Calculate timesheets for employees
- Coordinate with Payroll Supervisor in the entire payroll process
- Enter into EXCEL all the daily timesheets for HTS, Extracurricular and Non-revenue hours
- Transmit all the information to the Payroll Supervisor and preview the payroll
- Provide information for audits such as Worker's Compensation, 401(k), etc.
- Assist with retrieving specific information for legal claims
- Prepare standard miscellaneous reports for management
- Assist employees and outside agencies in requests for personnel/payroll records
- Coordinate HR and administrative functions for the locations, including processing all new hires
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of recent payroll experience; Associates or Bachlor's Degree in a HR related field is a plus
- Experience working within a payroll or HRIS system
Desired Skills and Abilities:
- Familiar with payroll processes, procedures, timesheets
- Intermediate Proficency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excell)
- Willingness to work as part of a team
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Self-Starter
- Able to adapt an adjust to new policies and procedures
