Payroll & Benefits Specialist Job at Central Bethany
Central Bethany, an established and growing real estate development and property management company just north of the Beaverton/Hillsboro area, seeks a Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join our dynamic HR team! The successful candidate will excel in providing quality service to employees and leaders while efficiently carrying out payroll duties for various properties via Paycom. This position also plays a role in reconciling health insurance bills, workers compensation and unemployment forms, light recruitment, and other HR duties.
Schedule: This position is eligible for overtime when over 40 hours per week are worked and typically requires 60% in-office work and 40% from home.
Main Responsibilities
- Administers all aspects of payroll through Paycom.
- Processes paid time, garnishments, time corrections, incentives, and accruals.
- Resolves payroll errors and completes payroll adjustments and corrections.
- Competes workers compensation forms, submits to carrier and coordinates active cases.
- Fills out and submits unemployment forms and supports open claims.
- Processes terminations and final paychecks through HRIS system.
- Helps prepare HR reports such as EEO, OSHA, and 401k.
- Participates with minimal recruiting duties including posting and screening.
- Tracks and processes increases and other employee changes.
- Assists with other light accounting tasks as they relate to payroll.
- Assists with audits, projects, HR events and other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Three (3) or more years of Payroll &/or HR experience
- Experience processing a multi-site payroll with an automated payroll system for more than 100 employees preferred.
- Human Resources and Benefits experience also preferred.
- Intermediate or advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail
