Patient Transporter Job at South Shore Health
At South Shore Health, we come together to improve the health of our family, friends and neighbors by bringing people, caregivers and excellence in medicine together. We are looking for a Patient Transporter to work weekday evenings at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, MA. You will assist with transporting patients and carrying out dispatch services.
Responsibilities:
· Transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher quickly and safely to required locations
· Transport lab specimens, reports, blood and medications
· Discharge patients and ensure patients are brought to the main entrance/exit
· Answer calls, dispatch any necessary services and ensure code cart is brought to the designated unit
· Maintain the patient environment by purchasing necessary supplies and ensuring areas are clean and safe
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED preferred
· Previous hospital experience preferred
· BLS certification
· Ability to move, lift and support patients and medical equipment
· Schedule is Monday-Friday, 3:30pm to 11:30pm
