Patient Transporter Job at FutureCare
Overview:
Responsible for the timely, courteous and competent transportation of residents throughout the facility via wheelchair, stretcher or bed. The transport aide also performs a variety of other support services as needed to provide excellent service to residents, visitors and facility staff.
Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following tasks and assignments:
- Work under the direction of the Activities Director.
- Timely transport of residents throughout the facility via
- wheelchair, stretcher or bed.
- Communicate with Activities Director or designee regarding daily problems, concerns and issues dealing with resident’s behavior.
- To attend administrative meetings as designated.
- Cooperate with other staff members in conducting events.
- Abides by the standards identified in FutureCare’s Statement of Corporate Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan.
- Reports any malfunctioning equipment to proper department.
- Reports any observed hazards to proper department.
- The applicant will be a high school graduate or equivalent with a desire to work with the elderly or disabled.
- Ability to be kind and patient in all interactions with residents.
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays and evenings.
