Provides support to patients in the World Trade Center Health Program run by Mount Sinai Health System.
- In a non-patient area handles daily over 100 over the phone interactions in a fast paced Information Retention and Benefits Center
- Primary involved in patient retention, actively reaches out to the patients to offer health care services and appointments at the Mount Sinai World Trade Center Health Program Clinical Center of Excellence
- Conducts interviews with callers seeking occupational medicine services, makes an initial assessment of work relatedness and offers appropriate service
- Primary contact for callers inquiries about the practice services, welcomes and introduces new patients to the practice, collects and provides information to other callers; like employers, lawyers, internal and external health care providers
- Triages calls and connects patients with the appropriate party
- Schedules different types of appointments at four different locations
- Follows all HIPAA and any other governmental or state agency requirements regarding the appropriate handling of PHI documents
- May perform additional tasks
Requirements:
- High School graduate/GED
- Bilingual English English/ Spanish
- Minimum one year call center related experience (high call volume environment)
- Experience with patient outreach and retention preferred. Experience in initiating contact with the customer to offer services or products
- Strong computer skills. Will work simultaneously with different applications
- Ability to work, complete task, meet targets and manage work time independently
- Patient-based customer service and soft skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $44,999.95 - $51,500.39 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
