Parts Delivery Driver - Waterloo Job at Thompson Truck & Trailer
The Parts Delivery Driver is an essential component in the Thompson mission: Doing whatever it takes to help deliver what matters. This person will operate company vehicles to deliver parts to customers within 100-mile radius.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: *
- Operate company vehicles according to DOT rules and regulations.
- Driver is responsible for checking orders prior to delivery, and making sure the invoice matches the delivery
- Unload and load materials before, after, and during deliveries.
- Ensure delivery truck is clean and PM complete as required.
- Ensure material is properly secured and within regulated weight limits.
- Notify management of safety concerns and vehicle maintenance or repair issues.
- Represent the company in a professional manner when interacting with customers.
- Follow company and customer procedures for delivering materials, recordkeeping, and obtaining signatures.
- Assist with general warehouse, shipping and receiving, and parts counter responsibilities as workload necessitates.

REQUIREMENTS: *
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must have a valid driver license.
- Insurable by company insurance policy.
- Physical demands of this job are classified as Light: exerting 16 to 50 pounds of force or lifting occasionally, and/or 10 to 15 pounds of force or lifting frequently to move objects.
