The purpose of this role is to develop and execute the growth strategy for the Global Health related business for the Americas Regional Business Partnership (ARBP). The primary scope of responsibility will be in following core areas: Global Health Security, Health Systems Strengthening and HIV/AIDS and Malaria.

Reporting directly to the Senior Managing Partner in the Americas, this role will be responsible for driving the business development outcomes, improving the win/loss ratio of the strategic pursuits to attain targeted outcomes, grow our business in key markets and successfully deliver the portfolio of projects. This will be accomplished through effective leadership, collaboration, leveraging of external relationships and the application of strong market knowledge.

Reporting and Supervision:


  • The Partner, Global Health will report to the Senior Managing Partner
  • This is a regional leadership position and has a high degree of autonomy with appropriate consultation where applicable
  • The Partner, Global Health is a leadership position within the Americas Regional Business Partnership. The position is required to work most closely with the other ARBP Partners
  • The role is also required to work with stakeholders across the organization including but not limited to the Chief Diversity Officer (CDO), MD – Strategy and Corporate Development, MD – Palladium Global Growth Platforms and other Partners from EMEA and APAC


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


In collaboration with your fellow partners, the primary responsibilities of this position will include:

  • Oversight of multiple Portfolio Leads to drive the internal and external processes that drive the profitable financial performance and effective delivery of our programs
  • Driving a performance-based but collaborative culture in the partnership which aligns with Palladium’s guiding principles, fostering cross-regional co-operation at all levels with EMEA and APAC to ensure that we are consistently leveraging our global knowledge and expertise
  • Developing and executing a cohesive growth strategy for the Americas, ensuring alignment with Palladium’s overarching strategy and vision
  • Strategically managing the Americas Health related business pipeline business, fostering a proactive and innovative approach to the diversification of our client base. In addition, through the use of your strong market knowledge and relationships develop innovative products/approaches to pursue new client and grow business opportunities
  • Ensuring exceptional quality of implementation in all Americas Health related projects, fostering a proactive and innovative approach to the client across both the technical and project management aspects of the engagement
  • Achieving your business strategy by developing and using collaborative relationships and developing and valuing our people
  • Driving the performance and ensuring strategic management of the portfolios financial position on an ongoing basis, providing regular updates to the ARBP on the forecasted financial performance
  • Collaborating closely with the Global Palladium team to proactively examine new opportunities for revenue growth and efficiency improvement
  • Working with the HR team and Senior Managing Partner to ensure that the portfolio workforce plans are well developed and aligned with their strategic needs and global human capital strategy


Key Competencies Required:


  • Significant prior experience leading multi-disciplinary teams within a commercial organization, ideally involved in the provision of services to both public and private sector clients globally
  • Proven track record in driving strategic growth via a combination of new client business development, leveraging existing resources/mechanisms and strong client relationship management to maximize profitability of the portfolio
  • In depth knowledge of the economic, social, and political context with a strong network of contacts across public sector agencies and private enterprises (Global Fund, State Department Office of HIV/AIDS etc). A pre-existing network of contacts within USAID, State Department, Global Fund and other strategic clients is preferred, with the ability to quickly create strong relationships essential
  • Given the rapidly changing landscape of our industry and organization, the ability to pursue, adapt and lead change. In particular you need to demonstrate flexibility in response to the changing business environment that drives a dynamic, growing and high performing organization
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence a wide variety of stakeholders with differing levels of commercial acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to drive a high performing culture, while simultaneously creating an inclusive and enabling work environment with a strong focus on diversity and inclusion
  • The ability to see the bigger picture and affect business drivers through decisions and actions that increases your own ability to contribute to the long-term profitability and growth of the company
  • The ability to see how your accountabilities fit into Palladium group, the impact of your individual actions on the bottom line and how the effective management of resources will drive high performance and efficiency
  • Strong levels of resilience accompanied by the capability to resolve conflict and achieve consensus amongst a wide variety of competing views
