Located minutes from Christiana Mall and the Christiana Hospital, the Hampton Inn & Suites, Wilmington Christina, is looking for enthusiastic, dedicated, personable, and professional Front Desk Associates to provide excellent services to our guests. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the Front Office team, will be hard-working, friendly, charismatic, wanting to personalize the guest experience.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Greet guests as they pass through the lobby
  • Register arriving guests, assign guests rooms based on preference outlined in their reservation and provide them with access keys
  • Check guests out of the hotel on the correct departure date
  • Answer telephone calls with an enthusiastic and appropriate greeting, answer guest questions, and offer information and assistance regarding hotel services
  • Communicate with other departments to fulfill guest needs
  • Verify all shift work and deposits
  • Respond to guest complaints using a calm and understanding demeanor
  • Monitor status of guest accounts
  • Post charges to the guest folio
  • Update the information ang guest profiles in electronic systems as required

What We’re Looking For

  • High School graduate of GED equivalent required
  • Experience in hospitality/hotel environment, a plus
  • Six months of Front Desk experience preferred
  • Demonstrate good computer skills
  • Accurately handle cash and post charges
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests, the public and other employees
  • Read, write and speak English fluently
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
