Hiring Pay Range: $21.15-$22.42/hr
Full Pay Range: $21.15-$24.52/hr
Job summary:
The Food Market Associate is responsible for participating in day-to-day operations at FIRC’s Food Markets. This position requires lifting up to 40 pounds, driving between locations in Summit County, assisting with incoming donations, distributing food, and communicating with the public and volunteers all while abiding by and enforcing safety protocols.

The person we are looking for will be:

Primary duties:
- Prepare for Food Market, which includes but is not limited to: unloading food deliveries and moving food between locations, making food boxes to be distributed, organizing and cleaning Food Market and food storage spaces
- Work in the field at the FIRC Food Market Prep shifts and at the FIRC Food Market hours
- Understand Food Market operations and enforce cleanliness, safety, and organizational protocols
- Ensure timely and accurate data collection from food market users
- Greet clients and customers, answer questions, establish rapport, and educate on available resources such as SNAP, WIC and other community resources
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Communicate Food Market needs to supervisor and manager as appropriate
- Participate in bi-weekly check-ins with Food Systems supervisory staff
General requirements of the position include:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Direct service experience preferred
- Have a valid driver’s license, reliable year-round vehicle and ability to drive the FIRC van
- Pass a background check
- Effectively demonstrate effective verbal communication skills, ideally in English and Spanish

- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
