This job level contains the following positions: Athletic Attendant, Facility Attendant, Fit Hub Attendant, and Pool Attendant. Please see the Illustrative Examples of Work section below for more information.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Athletic Attendant – At assigned athletic facilities, assists with: score keeping, site/event prep and clean up. Has basic knowledge of activities (i.e. basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball).Facility Attendant – At the Recreation Center, assists with: activity set up and clean up, special events, concessions, and parties; distributes equipment.Fit Hub Attendant – At the Recreation Center, cleans and vacuums around exercise machines and exercise areas/storage areas; picks up fitness equipment; assists with class set up.Pool Attendant – At assigned pools, assists swim instructors; assists with activity set up and clean up; handles payments at outdoor pools. CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Ability to: Work variable hoursFollow established daily operating proceduresAssure safety of participantsWork effectively with the public and department personnelPerform other related duties, as assignedNOTE: Advancement to step 1.5 will happen at six months of employment. Advancement to the next step will be considered after one year of employment, if a minimum of 125 hours have been worked and a satisfactory employee evaluation has been obtained.
