Compensation and Benefits: The hourly range is $21 - $24 per hour (D.O.E.) plus Service Charges. For Full Time employees, we provide paid time off, paid holidays, healthcare benefits, and a 401(k) with employer matching contributions.

Reports to: Executive Chef

Summary of Position:
We are a scratch kitchen and pride ourselves on our flexible and evolving menus. We are looking for candidates with professional kitchen experience, to work, primarily, as an ala carte Pantry Cook. The Pantry Cook is responsible for the preparation and production of all pantry station menu items. The Pantry Cook will maintain a clean, stocked station that adheres to all health and sanitation requirements as well as meets all expectations of the Executive Chef. Responsible for the execution of all items (generally, but not limited to, cold food and desserts) assigned to pantry station according to club recipes and standards. This position may also be asked to assist with the preparation and production of private events/banquets.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Slices and proportions cold cooked meat, fish and poultry, vegetables, and salads; garnishes them in an appetizing and tasteful manner and according to specifications
• Prepares salads, appetizers, hors d’oeuvres and desserts in an attractive manner and according to specifications
• Prepares all assigned recipes to club standards
• Responsible for cleanliness and organization of pantry stations as well as assisting in the overall cleanliness and organization of the entire kitchen
• Requisitions food supplies necessary to produce the items on the menu
• Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations
• Maintains the highest sanitary standards
• Notifies Executive Chef in advance of expected shortages
• Maintains security and safety in work area
• Maintains neat professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules at all times
• Ensures that work area and equipment are clean and sanitary
• Covers, dates and neatly stores re-usable leftover products
• Other duties as assigned

QUALITIES, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Ideal candidate will have extensive background working in kitchens, specifically cold food/pantry
• Highly organized shows maturity and uses good judgment.
• Capable of working unsupervised
• Flexible schedule (We are normally closed on Mondays and Tuesdays) including working on holidays and weekends
• Maintains a professional appearance appropriate to position and as per Club policy.
• Maintain a safe, friendly and professional work environment.
• Must have valid CA Food Handler Card or will be expected to be trained and be issued card within 30 days of hire

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch

and twist or reach.

• Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
• Continuous repetitive motions.
• Work inside and out of doors in a variety of weather, including hot, humid and noisy environment.
