Department: Paint Line - Production
Accountability: This position reports to the Production Supervisor - Fabrication
Responsibilities:
- Set-up and maintains paint line equipment
- Read work orders, follows production drawings, sample assemblies or verbal direction to paint products
- Set-up daily work by masking of parts and hanging parts on the paint-rack
- Inspect part surface for defects prior to painting
- Hang parts for optimal use of paint booth space
- Watch material in process on paint line to monitor paint flow to assure coating and color conform to specifications
- Stack painted parts carefully
- Check and clean machinery and shop floor
- Assist with special projects as assigned by supervisor
- Must have High School Diploma or equivalent, a technical certification, a plus
- Mechanically inclined with experience using basic hand tools
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, production documents, and engineering drawings
- Must possess a strong attention to detail
- Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
- Visual requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus
- Proficient computer skills
- General knowledge of workplace safety, a plus
