Paint Department-full Time Job at Elk City ACE Home Center
Must be willing to work Evenings and Weekends.
Primary Job Functions:
- Mix paint
- Offer color matching expertise and paint product selection advice
- Maintain the paint counter and aisles on a daily basis
- Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements
- Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials used in the painting industry
- Knowledge in the preparation and application of paints to different types of surfaces
- Knowledge in estimating time and material requirements for work projects
- Customer Service (help customers find what they need in a professional and courteous manner)
Secondary Job Functions:
- Help load merchandise for customers
- Help check in freight
- Cleaning and stocking merchandise
- Ordering merchandise
- Updating prices
- Answer telephone
Qualifications:
- H.S. Diploma or G.E.D. is preferred
- Retail experience, paint experience, and a painter is a plus
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours; including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to operate office machines, computers, Excel is a plus
- Knowledge of merchandise
- Self-motivated
- Organized
- Good physical condition for lifting
