Reese is an 80+ year old company that distributes Roofing, Siding, Windows and other building materials to builders and contractors. We operate 8 Branches in Indiana and 1 in Kentucky. We are a growing company currently seeking a hard-working, dependable Outside Sales Representative to join our team.
We are looking to hire an Outside Sales Representative at our Louisville, KY. location.
The Outside Sales Representative facilitates the development, execution of excellent customer service within a specified territory for the products that Reese distributes. This position involves interfacing with dealers, builders, contractors, remodelers, roofers and architects out in the field, generally away from the Branch.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for courtesy, professionalism and discretion in all interactions with other Reese employees, customers and with the public;
- Responsible for understanding and following through with directions given to them from the Branch Manager;
- Responsible for making appointments with existing customers to review current products purchases and to determine growth opportunities for product sales;
- Responsible for growing their territory by soliciting new customers;
- Responsible for making sales presentations to dealers, builders, contractors and architects to ensure that Reese product lines are being promoted in a professional, timely and effective manner to achieve sales;
- Responsible for being convenient for your customers and fellow co-workers to interact with;
- Responsible for responding swiftly to any complaints or questions any customer may have;
- Responsible for training dealers, builders, contractors and architects in the proper application and installation of Reese product lines;
- Responsible for completing required reports and analysis in a timely manner;
- Responsible for interacting with customers directly by face to face, electronically, or by telephone;
- You may be required to assist in other areas of the company as requested;
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required, plus three (3) years of related experience such as past wholesale sales or retail management;
- Should have some knowledge of the building industry is preferred;
- Must have be very experienced with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
- Must have excellent communication and presentation skills are a must;
- Must be able to stay informed on current industry trends and apply information to sales opportunities;
- Must be able to demonstrate high level of customer focus;
- Must possess strong influence and persuasion skills;
- Must possess strong planning, prioritizing, and goal setting skills;
- Must demonstrate strong relationship management skills.
