Military Sales Representative Job Summary
Creative Tent International designs and manufactures large shelter solutions for both expeditionary and fixed requirements in austere conditions. We are seeking a highly motivated, driven, and well-organized military sales representative to help military units and leaders achieve operational mission success by ensuring both personnel and equipment are protected in the harshest environments. This position will be based in the Eglin AFB, Florida area.
The successful candidate will have existing military relationships, and the ability to connect our products’ value to the mission requirements of unit-level personnel, their command chain, and contracting officers. The successful candidate will originate, nurture and close sales of Creative Tent International products to DOD customers on Eglin AFB and/or other high priority military bases in the region. You must have full base access, relationships on Eglin AFB and other military installations. You should live in reasonable proximity to Eglin AFB. You must be familiar with the military procurement process. Knowledge of MLAMS, DLA/TLS contracts is helpful, but not required. You must have experience working with military supply, logistics, and procurement officers.
Sales Representative Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with key personnel at regional military installations which lead to mutual success
- Present, and manage demonstrations of, Creative Tent capabilities to appropriate decision-makers
- Deliver customized presentations to key requirements personnel, targeting our value to their success
- Lead customers through the purchase process and various contract options
- Meet assigned goals for outreach and sales
- Utilize the company CRM to create and maintain a current, actionable database of prospective customers; nurture and track customer opportunities through the procurement process, and maintain consistent customer follow up.
Sales Representative Requirements and Qualifications
- Military background required, with relevant Military relationships and contacts
- Prefer minimum 2 years of military sales experience / military background acceptable substitute
- Superior communication skills with excellent professional self presentation
- Understanding of military procurement and contract mechanisms
- Must be willing to travel regionally as needed with some long-distance travel
- Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite, and able to utilize CRM programs
- Must be High Energy Team Player committed to accomplishing personal and team sales goals
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
