Beltway Companies, the largest commercial truck dealership in the state of Maryland, offers full-service truck and warranty repairs for International trucks, Jerr-Dan bodies, Kalmar-Ottawa yard jockies, Cummins engines, and Eaton and Meritor drivetrains. We take the hassle out of truck operations with more than 92 service bays and over $3 million in stocked parts. Locations include Annapolis, Baltimore, Cumberland, Elkton, Frederick, Hagerstown, and Idealease of Baltimore.

The Outside Salesperson is charged with providing for the parts needs of wholesale and fleet customers. They are responsible for representing the company in the customer’s place of business, addressing their needs, responding to information inquiries, processing parts orders, and identifying sales and service opportunities. We have an opening for an experienced sales representative for our Baltimore Area.
Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of parts department experience, preferably in a truck dealership or truck aftermarket environment. Must have a high school degree or equivalent. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, attention to detail, and basic PC skills.

POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Call on and market to prospective customers within assigned territory
  • Maintain customer database and build customer relationships by providing a value-add experience with regular visits
  • Understand the customer’s business and needs to identify opportunities
  • Quickly, accurately, and professionally respond to customer requests and follow up with orders or services to ensure they have been served properly
  • Create and deliver sales presentations and dealership capabilities in an efficient and professional manner
  • Collaborates with dealership teams to place parts orders, coordinate service sales, or provide leads to truck sales
  • Stay abreast of developments within the industry by seeking continuous education such as attending training seminars

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus pay
  • Commission pay

Requirements

  • Previous sales experience in a Parts department, truck dealership, or truck aftermarket environment
  • Mechanical aptitude or experience in automotive or truck mechanics
  • Basic computer and mathematics skills
  • Experience with Procede preferred
  • A High School degree or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass an insurance background check
  • The ability to lift at least 50 pounds, unaided
