The Outside Greet position presents a positive first impression of the establishment's friendliness, excellent service and high standards and works solely outside during hours of operation. They will greets guests upon arrival outside of the front entrance, informs guests of the current wait time in the café, adds guests to the current wait list, enters guest names into the computer system, directs guests towards the café's host stand, informs them of any current and upcoming events, and bid guests farewell as they leave. The Outside Greet Host must be able to carry natural conversation with guests without sounding scripted or intrusive.
Job Duties
- Greet incoming and departing guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact; direct them to the host stand, waiting area for check in, or the rock shop
- Use visual cues to direct guests to either the bar or dining area depending on their preference
- Assist in managing the flow of guests into the Dining and Bar areas, provide accurate wait times to incoming guests if appropriate
- Tend to special guest needs and requests
- Observant to guests' needs and helping ensure they receive high quality service (i.e. notice there are small children or someone with a handicap)
- Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol control policies
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
