JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for outgoing and reliable tour guides that want to deliver a fun, educational, and entertaining experience for our guests. We are willing to train the right candidate. Tour guides are expected to comply with all local, company, and state required regulations regarding the operation of adventure tours.

REQUIRED:

-- MUST have a valid driver’s license and be over the age of 25

-- MUST have a 3-year clean driving record (NO DUIs within 5 years)

-- MUST be able to pass a drug test and no history of active drug use

-- MUST have the ability to work in climate of weather

-- MUST have the ability to deal with physical demands of the position

-- MUST have the ability to comply and enforce all local, company, and state required regulations, as to ensure the safety of guests at all times

-- MUST have the ability to multitask between paperwork, email communication, cell phone communication, and computer tablet usage

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests in a courteous and professional manner

• Understand and speak to history, knowledge, and facts about the location

• Create positive customer relations

• Assemble necessary equipment and supplies

• Instruct and demonstrate related skills and techniques

• Respect and maintain natural resources, including but not limited to protected desert tortoises

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Additional health and safety training is an asset

• Ability to work in teams and independently

• Excellent communication skills

• Excellent instructional skills is required

• Good organizational skills

• Working knowledge of terrain, environment and local area

• Good customer relations skills

• Working knowledge of relevant legislation

• Some specialties require special training or certification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100.00 - $300.00 per day
