Position Description:
Experienced OSP Engineer wanted! UPGRADE your career!
SQUAN is seeking an OSP Engineer in the Greensboro, NC area (west of Draper and Gibsonville and north of I-40) to work on BAU projects locally. The OSP Engineer will be to assist with BAU/Enterprise/Obligatory workload. The ideal candidate should be experienced in utilizing AutoCAD to design and have knowledge of general Telecom Engineering practices. This is a remote position, but you must be comfortable going into the field frequently and client's office when needed.
Responsibilities
Perform local site visits to perform BAU (Metro-E, road moves, etc.) functions
Utilize AutoCAD and/or other client-proprietary mapping software to create and edit telecom plant designs, schematics, permit drawings, and any other CAD drawings/records as required per client projects
Apply best practices to assign fiber counts
Ability to read and extract ROW maps Requirements
Experience with road moves, Metro-E, and BAU work (i.e., services orders, ethernet, cable cuts, etc.)
Experience working on Lumen and/or Brightspeed projects
2+ years of recent experience utilizing AutoCAD to create telecom fiber designs
Proficient in Windows operating system environment with working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Exhibit effective communication skills
Maintain a solid work ethic and lead by example
