Dennis Food Service (100% Employee Owned) is growing and we are looking for employee-owners to join our team!
More specifically, we are looking for energetic warehouse order selectors to operate warehouse equipment (pallet jack/forklift) to accurately select products and build pallets that are, in turn, timely delivered to our customers. An order selector must always be on time and able to work long hours. They are dependable, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. We expect you to be particular regarding ensuring the quality of orders. This position requires working 5:30 PM until all products are selected and loaded. Overtime and holidays are required.
Responsibilities:
- Locate products in the warehouse using devices with enhanced technology
- Retrieve orders according to quantity, size, etc., ensuring accuracy
- Build pallets with orders and position them on loading docks
- Carefully wrap orders before loading them on trucks
- Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions
- Adhere to health and safety policies and quality standards
Skills:
- Proven experience as an order picker or other warehouse position
- Experience or license in handling forklifts, pallets jacks, and other warehouse equipment
- Able to read and write in English
- Great attention to detail
- Diligent and punctual
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
