Job Summary:
Fitness Center Monitors supervise a two-level, 10,000 square foot fitness area, including participants. Monitors and educates participants on the components of fitness, provides equipment orientations, enforces policies and procedures related to the operation of the fitness center, performs preventative maintenance and housekeeping duties, monitors incentive programs, and responds to emergencies. Attends monthly training workshops and staff meetings. Participate in semesterly written and practical evaluations. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for 3+ hours. CPR/First Aid certification required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Successful candidates for this position must possess and maintain current CPR/AED and first aid certification throughout their employment with Recreation and Wellness. Certification requirements must include an in-person session through a nationally recognized authorized agency. Candidates must show proof of current certification within the first 10 days of his/her employment. Failure to provide proof of a current certification within the first 10 days of employment could result in termination of employment.
