Burpee is seeking a talented and experienced Operations Supervisor to join our Ecommerce fulfillment team. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position provides leadership and guidance to Leads and Associates to drive sales, e-commerce operations and a positive customer experience. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment to achieve organizational goals.
Responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day e-commerce operations while managing and motivating Leads and Associates to achieve and exceed goals
  • Maintains department standards for productivity, reliability and accuracy; Achieve e-commerce performance goals, such as Order Picking Time, Order Cost Per Order, etc.
  • Develop ongoing process improvements and contribute to making the company’s workflow more effective, efficient, and capable of adapting to an ever-changing environment
  • Partner with Sales and Account Management teams to create and execute a labor and capacity plan
  • Forecast staffing needs to meet peak demands of the business and participate in hiring and training processes of new associates
  • Maintains a safe work environment ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and company SOP’s
  • Oversee inventory levels to ensure they can meet customer demand. Anticipate and communicate challenges to operations leadership
  • Directly manage controllable expenses such as labor and materials, identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Become subject matter expert in company ERP system
  • Consistently creates a positive customer experience with all e-commerce orders. Escalates more complex customer service issues to the Customer Service Manager or area leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Previous supervisory experience with the ability to motivate individuals to achieve and exceed goals
  • Action-oriented with good judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Technology proficient with the ability to learn new programs quickly and easily.
