Overview


To support the daily operational functions within your buying area through follow-up with vendors and cross functional partners.


Responsibilities


  • Responsible for entering and revising purchase orders for both selling channels. Must be detail-oriented so that data is entered correctly and a steady flow of merchandise is maintained.
  • Ensure timely delivery of merchandise through consistent communication and follow-up with vendors, cross functional partners, distribution center and buying team.
  • Act as liaison between the vendor and the buyer; responsible for vendor follow-up such as updating discounts on POs for late deliveries, closing orders, processing RTVs for defective or poor quality merchandising”
  • Develop strong vendor communication skills; set up new vendors and assist them with compliance questions. Tend to vendor requests and PO maintenance.
  • Ensure proper set up and maintenance of SKUS in IP, MTS, and Sterling (via B2c) including pricing, costing, loads, descriptions, attributes, shipping restrictions and up charges.
  • Enter price changes and ticket requests when necessary
  • Manage backorders and any customer service inquiries
  • Work in synergy with Buying, Planning, Allocation and Ecommerce teams toward common goals for the merchandise area.
  • Partner with Merchandising and Web Producers to ensure timely activations of products. Monitor/Audit website for changes based on inventory, sales, newness and trends.


Job Skills


  • Excellent organizational, prioritizing and time management skills. Management experience is a plus.
  • Ability to learn quickly and to retain information. Must be analytical and be able to comprehend how multiple systems interact.
  • Strong communication and written skills.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions when troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment; demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.


Education


Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion, or a related field is preferred
