Overview:

Headquarters, Air Combat Command (ACC), Directorate of Operations (A3), Flight Operations Division (A3T) at Langley Air Force Base, VA is responsible for the combat readiness and training of the Combat Air Forces (CAF). ACC/A3T provides the operational expertise required to meet current and future needs of the CAF by developing, coordinating, and publishing command guidance for all aspects of CAF fighter aircrew training.

Requirement: Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI/SAP/SAR eligibility is required

Education and Experience:

• 3 years of HQ staff experience at the MAJCOM level or higher
• 3 years of experience designing, planning, preparing, executing, and providing documented assessments of DMO and other combat readiness programs or plans
• Must have one of the following:
• USAF fighter rated aviation experience, AND Experience providing 5th generation program management and training support
• USAF Rated Pilot or WSO experience in an ACC MDS

Essential Duties:

• Establish Modeling and Simulation (M&S) standards.
• Generate requirements for Cross Domain Solutions for CAF Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) and Live, Virtual & Constructive (LVC) training programs.
• Generate requirements for CAF DMO training centers to include Distributed Training Center, USAF Warfare Center Virtual Test & Training Center (VTTC) and any future efforts.
• Develop capability requirements for Fighters, Bombers, and C2ISR DMO and LVC platforms, integration of F-16, F-15, Fifth Generation aircraft, and Next Generation Air
• Dominance (NGAD) systems into Mission Training Centers (MTC).
• Collaborate and interface with other MAJCOMs, HAF, Joint Services and Coalition training partners, and System Program Offices (SPOs) for management of simulator/DMO and the Operations & Integration (O&I) programs, with FAMs in the development of RAP tasking and MTC/DMO requirements, JCIDS, Operations and Maintenance (O&M), logistics and various acquisition activities in support of the USAF OTTI.
• Assist in developing, refining, and producing life cycle management plans in support of integrating DMO systems with the MTCs. Provide technical and analytical assistance in the development, validation, and coordination of DMO capability requirements documents and assist with integration of CAF DMO capability requirement into weapon system MTC programs like Simulator Common Architecture Requirements and Standard (SCARS), Common Synthetic Training Environment (CSTE), and Joint Simulation Environment (JSE).
• Collaborate and interface with FAMs to develop weapon system training device requirements, resolve training issues and shortfalls, and provide recommendations and guidance for simulator enhancements to support RAP training and Program Objective Memorandum (POM) submission.

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

• 3 years of experience in M&S, DMO, and LVC
• 3 years of experience producing reports to indicate investigation methodology, evaluation processes, and recommendations for new LVC technologies and concepts
• Experience providing analytical, conceptual, and cost/benefit studies and recommendations on readiness-related efforts, LVC technologies, proposed changes in a resource-constrained environment, etc.
• 3 years of experience working in Requirements, Operations, and/or SPO capabilities
• Experience with JCIDS staffing processes and requirements development
• Experience preparing/presenting high level briefings, bullet background papers, and Technical Reports
• Knowledge of CAF training requirements
