What is the compensation?

First year target compensation for this role is $55,000. The base makes up approximately 80% of your compensation. The rest is variable pay based on your performance in the role. The better your work is, the higher your pay will be! We also offer a full benefits package, including health insurance, dental, vision, life, disability, and much more. After 1 year, we make a 3% contribution to your 401(k) whether you are contributing or not. Other benefits include a parking stipend and twelve weeks paid parental leave.


What will you learn in this role?

You'll learn a ton about how small businesses in the United States operate, and about our healthcare and health insurance ecosystem. This is because you'll be working with health insurance brokers/advisors who help small to mid-sized employers with their benefits packages. You’ll also be working with dozens of the most well-known insurance companies on a daily basis.

More broadly, you'll learn how to work with and communicate effectively with all types of people in a collaborative environment. You'll learn how to support a Saas software application and gain a multitude of experiences that will help you wherever your career takes you!



Is this job on-site?

Yes! We work five days per week in the office. We have a generous PTO program and offer flexibility in a lot of other ways, but not on this. We pride ourselves on our culture and our managers having the ability to really coach and help our people grow. For us, that is best done in-person. Please do not apply if what you really want is off-site work.

What are the basic responsibilities of the job?

The Operations team serves a critical role at Bernard Health in supporting benefit advisors and insurance carriers across the US in implementing BerniePortal, our proprietary HRIS platform, for their employer clients. You’ll build and renew hundreds of employers’ benefits on BerniePortal and use your expertise to ensure that tens of thousands of employees nationwide have easier access to their employer’s benefits. You’ll manage our integrations and enhance our relationships with leading insurance carriers and federal agencies. This job requires effective communication and collaboration among other teams within the organization. You should expect to be challenged everyday to solve problems strategically and provide world-class customer service!
