The Piedmont Health District is currently seeking a full-time Office Services Specialist for the Nottoway County Health Department. This position is eligible for benefits.

The Office Services Specialist is the primary administrative support for the County’s Environmental Health and Vital Records programs. In addition, this position is responsible for conducting eligibility interviews for all clinical services and providing support for family planning, STI, immunization, foreign travel, rabies, car seat applications and general inquiries from the public. This position is also responsible for collecting and processing payments, reconciling receipts and scheduling appointments. This position is based in Nottoway County, but occasionally may be asked to travel to cover other local health departments in the District.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Knowledge of general office procedures
  • Knowledge of and/or previous direct customer service experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Valid driver’s license


Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Experience processing and collecting Accounts Receivable
  • Basic knowledge of Public Health Programs
  • Previous medical office experience


Special Requirements
