Ivy Street School is a small, year-round, private residential special education school committed to advancing equity and access for young people living with disabilities. We serve neurodiverse adolescents ages 13-22. We support the whole child through a student-first model that is driven by collaboration, a willingness to think big, and a commitment to knowing our students well.

We believe that every student is exceptional and at Ivy Street, we work tirelessly to create the educational and therapeutic conditions for our students to thrive. As a community, we are focused on the immediate needs of our scholars with an unwavering eye on their future needs and the concrete plans to achieve it. Our multidisciplinary team works to create rich and meaningful experiences that will nurture learning and prepare our students for their transition into adulthood and independent living. While our classrooms have four walls, we consider Boston our second classroom and our students are often making meaning and deepening learning throughout the city.

Job Summary: We are currently seeking a forward thinking, creative individual to assess and manage implementation of occupational therapy services for a caseload of students across our school and residential programs. This is a unique role for an organized and flexible OT who is motivated by interdisciplinary work and interested in supporting a functional, independent living-based curriculum within school, residential, and community contexts. During the education shift, this role supports the acquisition of skills through push ins and individual sessions, collaboration with education team members, and participation in student centered meetings. During the residential shift, this role supports practicing and generalizing independent living skills in natural contexts of Cottage Farm Program, our group living environment, and the community. This role allows for creative problem solving around programmatic initiatives and drawing connections between the education and residential shifts.

This position is a year-round position and benefits eligible. The position is 40 hours Monday-Friday with evening hours 4 times a week, though flexibility in weekly schedule is available. A typical weekly schedule would be Monday-Thursday 10am-6pm or 10am-7pm, Friday 10-4pm. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
