PCSG is seeking a highly motivated Nurse Practitioner with women's health experience to work in its Women's Health Center. The candidate MUST have at least 2 years of women's health and GYN experience. The successful candidate will provide holistic patient care focusing on normal pregnancy, the postpartum period, and the gynecological needs of well-women.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • antepartum and postpartum care of women of all ages;
  • contraceptive management;
  • consultation and collaboration with attending or other physicians involved in the Patients’ care
  • well-woman gynecological care.
  • Performs medical examinations and evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up, consultation, and health education.
  • Educating patients about women's health issues.
  • Performing annual exams and providing well-woman care.
  • Offering care during perimenopause and menopause.
  • Diagnosing and helping patients manage sexually transmitted diseases.
  • Providing care for acute or chronic medical conditions.
  • Obtains patient histories and develops patient care charts, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Knowledge of health education theory and practice.
  • Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
  • Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
  • Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in area of expertise.
  • Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.

Experience and Training Guide

Experience:

  • Master's in Nursing Science (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) required.
  • Certification in Women's Health preferred
  • Certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners

Training:

  • Must be certified by AANP or state required certifying body.
  • CPR Certified

Working Conditions:

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
  • Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.

Work environment involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
