Responsibilities:

• Managing and coordinating operational activities of the department
• Recruiting skilled staff
• Ensuring adequate levels of resources to meet business needs and financial parameters
• Coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
• Planning, monitoring, and appraisin job results
• Developing staff by providing information, educational and growth opporunities
• Establishing and maintaining communication between ancillary departments, physicians, nursing personnel and other healthcare professionals
• Determining fiscal requirements and preparing budgetary recommendations - monitoring costs and expenditures as appropriate
• Establishing a compassionate environment by providing emotional support to employees, patients, friends and families

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse License in the state of New Mexico
• Bachelor's in Nursing from an accredited school or you must be currently enrolled with a scheduled date of completion
• At least 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, in area of specialty is desired
