TECHNICAL LEAD - ENGINEERING LEAD BUS SPECIALIST

POSITION SUMMARY
As a key member of our Electrical Engineering team, you will oversee the Engineering Lead Bus Specialist (ELBS) team as they provide direct support on the production line to resolve electrical and programming issues discovered during electrical checkout of online buses, especially lead buses.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Provide oversight and guidance as ELBS team resolves electrical and programming issues encountered on the production line during electrical checkouts.
- Manage the general status of electrical issues of online builds, identify and address potential roadblocks preventing deliveries.
- Check/approve ECNs for programming updates and other engineering solutions.
- Organize and oversee in-plant testing of electrical and programming solutions.
- Support issue resolution using J1939 network traffic analysis as needed.
- Support supplier application approvals, vendor tests, configuration audits, and other online activities as needed.
- Support ongoing process improvement initiatives.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Engineering Technology or diploma in Engineering. A combination of education and experience will be considered
- Five or more years of relevant experience related to essential functions listed above
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, with effective interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of software development processes, vehicle electrical system troubleshooting, control systems, and high-voltage systems
- Adept with Microsoft Office, PLC programming, Logger, NEXIQ / DLA and/or other related programming software tools
- Excellent planning, organizational, problem solving and time-management skills
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, effectively prioritize and work efficiently in a high demanding fast-paced team-oriented environment
