Bland Landscaping Company is seeking to add a New Business Developer to spearhead commercial sales and brand representation at our Greensboro NC branch. This is a full-time position with a very competitive benefits package that includes a company owned vehicle that may be driven to and from work. The successful candidate must be highly motivated and capable of independently managing their time as a sales professional. Knowledge of, and relationships within the commercial real estate industry are important to one's success at performing this job. Knowledge of Horticulture and Commercial Landscaping and Grounds Management is very important to the job as well.

Sales

  • Promote the company’s ability and desire to be a one-stop shop for landscape services.
  • Represent the company through active and willing participation in trade associations that generate sales of new commercial grounds management contract revenue. Participation is to include committee membership and pursuit of leadership opportunities that help build quality relationships.
  • Utilize BOSS LM and Go iLawns software to perform CRM functions, take-offs, measurements, estimating, proposal generation, etc.
  • Actively manage the BOSS CRM and keep the executive team up to date with reports that illustrate our sales pipeline, sales activity, and upcoming calendar of sales and marketing events.
  • Actively participate in networking events for the purpose of building authentic relationships, identifying prospective leads, and attracting new customers.
  • Support other salespeople, business developers, managers, and executives when appropriate to promote sales efforts throughout the company.
  • Work with managers within the company to mine our customer base and identify new sales prospects then convert such new business opportunities into long-term repeat customers.
  • Promote the company’s mission, core values, and commitment to a triple net bottom line as part of our approach to relationship selling.
  • Help organize and lead socially responsible marketing activities including volunteer workdays, food drives, pro-bono landscape projects, and others related activities as directed by our Executive Team.
  • Expand the current client base by cold calling on new market segments to further the company’s brand awareness amongst potential clients with whom we have never worked.
  • Work closely with executives and managers within the company to strategically identify opportunities for increased route density, new market penetration, and expansion of our geographic coverage.
  • Develop business relationships that are mutually beneficial and result in long term opportunities.
  • Represent Bland Landscaping Company professionally in networking groups with other sales professionals who cater to the commercial real estate industry.
  • Travel within our service area as directed by our Executive Team to help represent and promote our brand expansion. Travel will include day trips and occasional overnight stays.
  • Competitive salary range based on skill level and experience, base plus commission and benefits package including company vehicle

Required Skills

  • Candidate must exhibit a strong willingness to go above and beyond what is asked of them and participate in any and all activities as directed by their manager, or other leaders within the company.
  • Candidate must have a NCDL, and maintain a driving record that satisfies the insurance requirements of the company and its insurers.
  • Candidate must be self-motivated and exhibit good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Candidate must be effective at presenting in various mediums, including written, verbal, and the use of multimedia.
  • Candidate must have a solid foundation of computing skills with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and the concepts of cloud computing.
  • Experience in the commercial landscape grounds management industry is preferred, but not required.
  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, but not required.

Pay: $42,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
