Music Program Assistant Job at Iowa Lakes Community College
GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
This is a part-time position located at the Estherville Campus from August through mid-June of the academic year. Hours vary between 15-30 hours per week dependent upon the needs of the music department but will not exceed 900 hours annually. Some evening and weekend hours to assist in music performances will be required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (% OF THE TIME):
Constant (67-100%)
- Receive telephone calls; greet visitors and students, and direct inquiries accordingly.
- Perform secretarial duties using a computer to enter and retrieve information, prepare correspondence, and maintain basic databases.
Frequent (34-66%)
- Assist in the planning and organization of concerts, festivals, contests, tours, and other music activities.
- Work cooperatively with other staff to maintain a current website and disseminate information on upcoming events.
Occasional (10-33%)
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Possess the ability to maintain a flexible schedule to assist in music performances, festivals and contests.
SPECIAL DEMANDS:
Constant (67-100%) reaching, standing, walking, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions and viewing various types of close visual work. Frequent (34-66%) stooping, crouching, pushing, pulling and carrying. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and 10 pounds of force frequently. Will require flexible hours including weekends and evenings. Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record and provide proof of insurance. Required to travel utilizing personal vehicle.
Employment with Iowa Lakes Community College is dependent upon successful passage of a criminal background check.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma required. Associates Degree preferred. Proficient in Publisher, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, navigate internet and Outlook (calendar and email).
Salary: $13.58/hr
