Mobile Therapist/Behavior Consultant Job at Carson Valley Childrens Aid
We're looking for dedicated Mobile Therapists (MT) and Behavior Consultants (BC) to join our Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) program! There are current openings in Philadelphia, Montgomery County, and Delaware County.
The IBHS team at Carson Valley Children's Aid provides individualized behavioral health support to youth under the age of 21. Our clinicians work alongside families and school personnel to assess each child's needs and develop treatment plans that foster positive coping strategies. By utilizing a team approach, we help families to create lasting change so that their children can thrive in all areas of life.

Vaccination Requirements: Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (2 doses Moderna/Pfizer or 1 dose J&J). Eligible staff will also be required to have 1 booster shot by 6/30/22. In extenuating circumstances, our internal review committee may choose to approve a waiver for medical or religious reasons.
Role Type: Fee-for-Service
Work Schedule: Daytime and after-school hours. Exact schedules vary depending upon available cases, clinician's desired workload, and program needs.
Work Setting:
- Philadelphia: Primarily school settings. Home and community settings as needed.
- Montgomery & Delaware Counties: Mix of school, home, and community settings, depending on client needs.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assess client needs by observing youth in school, home, and community settings where problem behaviors occur and discussing with other treatment team members.
- Develop Individualized Treatment Plans (ITP) with youth and families to delineate overall treatment goals.
- Develop behavior plans which include specific interventions, designate responsible team members, and establish timelines.
- Maintain regular contact with all treatment team members to provide and receive feedback on the youth's progress.
- Provide individual psychotherapy in home, school, and community settings.
- Provide skill teaching as outlined in the treatment plan.
- Maintain accurate records, following IBHS documentation procedures.
- Attend school meetings as appropriate.
- Provide emergency evaluation and intervention as assigned.
- Participate in monthly supervision with assigned supervisor.
Role Requirements:
- Master's degree with 9+ credits specific to clinical practice in psychology, social work, counseling, etc. (required)
- Completed a clinical or mental health service practicum OR have 1+ years of full-time experience providing mental health direct services to children, youth, or young adults (required)
- Willingness to commute locally to various schools, homes, and communities during the workweek (required)
