BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The Mitigation Technician will be responsible for executing protocols for proper mitigation and remediation of mitigation projects. The Mitigation Technician will be the on site representative of Northwest Restoration for mitigation projects. The Mitigation Technician will report to the Director of Mitigation, Mitigation Project Managers, and Mitigation Coordinators.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Documentation

  • Moisture Mapping, photo and note documentation, sketch, and equipment tracking is required on every job. Every time the Mitigation Technician is on site, documentation will be required. Currently we utilize MICA and DASH primarily for moisture mapping and documentation.
  • Timely communication is expected of the Mitigation Technician with the Mitigation Director, Mitigation Project Managers, and Mitigation Coordinators
  • Professionalism in communication with clients and customers is essential. While on site, Mitigation Technician will be expected to communicate with the customer what they are doing, roughly how long, and other relevant information that would affect the customer as a result of the Mitigation Technician’s work on site
  • The Mitigation Technician will be expected to document all contents in accordance with company policy. NWR currently utilizes Assured Packout Software for pack out inventory documentation.

General Duties

  • The Mitigation Technician will be expected to execute protocols for all mitigation work assigned in compliance with company policies and IICRC standards. Deviations from these will need to be communicated with Mitigation Project Manager assigned to given projects.
  • The Mitigation Technician will be expected to execute scope of work dictated on all work orders assigned. Deviations from scope of work must be communicated with the Project Manager managing the project where the work order is in question.
  • The Mitigation Technician will be expected to perform services in all aspects of mitigation services including but not limited to: water mitigation, fire mitigation, contents manipulation, contents inventory, contents packing and delivery, biohazard clean up, sewage/CAT 3 clean up and remediation, mold remediation, needle clean up, etc. The Mitigation Technician will sometimes be required to perform duties outside of the above mentioned services.
  • The Mitigation Technician will be responsible to ensure that work van and shop is kept clean and organized. Any issues with assigned vehicle or equipment needs to be reported to Mitigation Coordinator immediately

QUALIFICATIONS

  • No prior experience required, but an attitude that is open to learning and growing
  • IICRC certifications are a plus, NWR will provide additional training
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check (required by federal law to work on insurance losses)
  • Ability to utilize technology
  • Strong organizational, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Construction and mechanical skills a plus
