RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform duties related to mining operations by Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) means. These activities may include, but not limited to:
  • Support segmental lining assembly by erector crane
  • Support tunnel pipes assembly,
  • Support conveyor belt assembly,
  • Load and offload TBM consumables from the tunnel multi service vehicle as required. Support rigging and lifting operations
  • Support tunnel grout injection operations
• Support other repairs and maintenance works.
• Keep a safe and clean area of work
• Perform other duties as required
• Wear the appropriate PPE and follow safety protocols for all tasks

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar TBM and/or tunnel mining operations.
• Mobile elevating working platform operation
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Must be able to interpret drawings and written instructions
• Communication skills
• Steel fabrication
• Operate machinery and systems including drills, pumps, hoists and winches.

Physical Demands:

• Occasional bending, stooping, twisting, crawling, kneeling
• Occasional climbing of ladders
• Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds from ground to waist level
• Occasional repetitive use of powered and non-powered hand tools
• Occasional repetitive use of vibrating hand tools
• Constant repetitive hand, forearm, foot, and leg activities
• Repetitive movement of arms, legs, and torso together when the whole body is in motion
• Work in environmental extremes of heat and cold dependent upon job location
• Frequent work in dusty and smoke-filled environments
• Frequent work in areas of excessive noise
• Frequent work at heights
• Frequent work in confined spaces
