Member Contact Center Representative Job at Fairmont Federal Credit Union
The Member Contact Center Representative is responsible to provide a variety of financial solutions to members and potential members through various communication methods such as telephone, email, and online services, all while upholding the Credit Union's vision, mission and values of delivering highly personalized and individually rewarding experiences. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Creates a highly personalized experience for members by identifying their needs and recommending the best financial solutions.
- Answers questions about products and services and resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve; refers problems that are beyond their authority to their supervisor, along with their recommendations.
- Works with other departments to meet member's needs and is empowered to provide solutions.
- Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of financial products and services, related policies and procedures, rules and regulations; promotes, cross sells, and explains Credit Union products and services.
- Performs financial transactions and clerical duties which may include but not limited to opening new share and share draft accounts, opening term share certificates, ordering share drafts, applying payments and transfers, opening debit cards.
- Performs corresponding tasks related to members' accounts such as address changes, updates contact information and return mail requests.
- Performs duties related to member electronic services.
- Schedules members' appointment requests and performs various tasks related to ReportIt tickets.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities include, but not limited to:
Experience and Education
- One month to twelve months of similar or related experience
- A high school education or GED
Other Skills
- Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy during personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and discretion; communicate with courtesy, tact, and diplomacy.
- Well-developed communication and member service skills, good listening and telephone skills, attentiveness, must be able to retain information.
- Skilled with computers, Microsoft Office programs, and computer keyboard by touch, knowledge of general office machines and 10-key calculator.
- Self-empowered and solution-minded, detail oriented.
- Able to maintain a high degree of accuracy, able to make decisions with minimum information.
- Basic mathematical skills required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
- Must be available to work a schedule rotation based on operating hours.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to talk and hear. Work is typically sedentary, with prolonged period of sitting at a desk and working on a computer but may require standing and walking up to 10 percent of the time. Lifting up to 10 pounds is occasionally required.
Job Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Location: Fairmont, WV
Salary Range: From $15.00 hourly; compensation commensurate of experience and qualifications.
