Medication Aide - 12 hour DAY shifts Job at Galloway Ridge, Inc.
Join our team! Galloway Ridge is an upscale continuing care retirement community located between Chapel Hill and Pittsboro in Chatham County, NC. We are currently seeking a Certified Medication Aide to work 12-hour shifts (7a-7p). Come and work in a family oriented environment with a great staff-to-resident ratio!
You will assist our licensed nursing staff by administering daily medications in accordance with established nursing standards, facility policies and procedures and North Carolina state Board of Nursing requirements. You will also be responsible for the delivery of resident care.
Requirements:- Two to three years of experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant, including some long-term care experience
- Must have current certification in North Carolina as a Medication Aide.
- Continuing education as required.
- General computer knowledge. Familiarity with electronic medical record software is preferred.
- Awareness of the needs of geriatric residents
- Ability to calculate figures related to medication dosages and amounts as percentages and area.
